Day: 1 - Arrive Auckland
After your overnight flight, rest and relax in an Auckland hotel. If you've had enough sleep on the plane, take yourself out to one of the many restaurants or bars for fresh local produce and a vibrant atmosphere.
Day: 2 - Auckland to Rotorua
This morning, collect your motorhome and set off for Rotorua, that amazing land of bubbling geysers and fizzing thermal pools.
Day: 3 - Rotorua
You have a full day at your leisure - time to explore this thermal wonderland!
Relax in one of the outdoor thermal pools at the Polynesian Spa or try your luck at catching a trout in one of the many beautiful lakes that surround this region.
Book in for a true cultural experience at one of the Maori concerts on offer and enjoy a 'hangi' feast.
Rotorua has everything to offer all ages; whether you're seeking thrills and adventure or cultural experiences you will be amazed by this region.
Day: 4 - Rotorua to Napier
Hit the road again today, heading for Napier, famous for its parks, gardens and shoreline.
Day: 5 - Napier
A full day free at leisure - time to explore this lovely place. A visit to one (or many) of the top-class wineries will surely be a highlight. Take a guided tour or challenge yourself to a self-guided bike ride around nearby wineries.
Nicknamed Art Deco City, Napier is known world-wide for its beautiful art deco buildings- more than 20,000 people per year participate in guided walks around the buildings.
Take a stroll down the marine parade and soak in the sun and sea or visit the National Aquarium of New Zealand for a glimpse of the underwater world.
Revitalize yourself in the evening and sample local produce and wines in one of the many restaurants of the area.
Day: 6 - Napier to Wellington
Make your way to Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, being sure to stop in to Kapiti to sample some of their delicious ice creams.
Being the capital, Wellington has a lot to offer any traveller. Take a walk through Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum that is recognised as a world leader in interactive and visitor focused museum experiences.
Indulge at one of the many bars and restaurants in Cuba Mall while watching street performers or take the cable car to the Botanical Gardens and delight at the array of colours of seasonal flowers.
Day: 7 - Wellington to Picton/Blenheim
This morning, return your rental car to the Ferry Terminal Depot and board the Interislander Ferry for your journey from North Island to South Island, across Cook Strait to Picton.
Ensure you take a walk to the deck of the ferry to view the spectacular scenery as you enter into Marlborough Sounds.
Collect your rental car and drive to Blenheim.
Day: 8 - Blenheim to Kaikoura to Christchurch
Drive down the east coast towards the town of Kaikoura (famous for whale watching). Stop in and enjoy fresh seafood or stretch your legs at the viewing platform at the point of the town where you will see seals frolicking in the sea and surf.
Drive through to Christchurch.
Day: 9 - Christchruch to Mount Cook
Set off today for Mount Cook, where time is available to take an optional scenic ski-plane or helicopter flight over the Tasman Glacier.
Day: 10 - Mount Cook to Queenstown
Today enjoy a full day at leisure. Select your optional sightseeing: a thrilling jet boat ride, a vintage steamer lake cruise, a visit to the high country sheep stations, a mountain gondola ride - the list is endless, and you also have time to relax and simply marvel at the beautiful scenery.
Day: 11 - Queenstown to Dunedin
Today you drive to Dunedin - the 'Edinburgh of the South'. This afternoon you are free to explore - you may like to visit the Otago Peninsula - home of the Royal Albatross Colony and the Yellow-eyed penguins - or historic Larnach Castle.
Day: 12 - Dunedin to Christchurch
Make your way back to Christchurch with some fantastic memories to savour.
Day: 13 - Depart Christchurch
Your amazing tour is over. Return your rental car to the airport to connect with your flight back home.
