Wellington to Christchurch

Passing through Christchurch, Wellington, Blenheim, Picton, for 4 days
Day: 1 - Wellington to Picton
Before boarding the ferry to Picton take a ride on Wellington's cable car which whisks you from the CBD to breathtaking views of the harbour and city from the Botanical Gardens.
Once on the ferry ensure you head to one of the decks to savour picture perfect scenery as you enter into the Marlborough Sounds.
Spend the night in Picton and take yourself on one of the many walking, kayaking or cycling tours that the Marlborough Sounds have to offer.
Day: 2 - Picton to Blenheim
Head south to Blenheim and visit some of the many vineyards and wineries that this area boasts.
A visit to the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre is well worth the time and is considered Marlborough's major visitor attraction.
Day: 3 - Blenheim to Kaikoura
Welcome to the crayfish and whale watching capital of New Zealand! An absolute must-do, whale watching in Kaikoura will be a memory that you keep for life. Make sure that you book yourself a seat on one of the charter boats early in advance.
There's is plenty to do in this seaside town so spend the day and night enjoying the natural beauty and attractions of Kaikoura.
Day: 4 - Kaikoura to Christchurch
Head south to the Garden City, Christchurch and enjoy a picnic lunch at Hagley Park while watching the Avon River gently flow by.
In winter head to the ski fields of Mount Hutt for a day in the snow or if summer is the season then head to one of the nearby beaches and sit back and relax.
Why not treat yourself to a cinema experience and view an international art house film in the evening or enjoy some live music in one of the many bars in the city.
