GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE Standard rate leaves you still to pay a Bond/Excess of NZ$5000 (Debited and refunded if no claims) or options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. (Options are payable at the depot except All Inclusive which should be booked when reserving the vehicle)

Insurance option with Standard Rate:
Excess Reduction 1: NZ$27 per day reduces bond to NZ$2500 (Debited and refunded if no claims)
Excess Reduction 2: NZ$44 per day reduces bond to Nil - A security deposit of $250.00 (Credit card imprint only) is taken atvehicle pick up time.

ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE - FULL INSURANCE
All Inclusive Package is available to travellers for NZ$65.00 per day premium and reduces bond to Nil. The Inclusive Rate includes: Unlimited Kilometres, One Way Rental Fee, Diesel Tax Recovery Fee, 15% GST, Complimentary Airport Transfers, Personal Kits, Kitchen Kit, Apollo Welcome Pack, Pre-Hire Cleaning Fees, Vehicle Consultation Fee, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Extra Driver Fees, Maps and Camp Ground Guides, LP Gas Refill Fee, Snow Chains (on request), Camp Chairs and Table and Baby or Booster Seats (on request).

OPTIONAL TOLL PACKAGE
The Toll Package can be purchased for $29 (payable on pick up) and includes:
- Unlimited toll crossings (maximum $50.00)
- No toll administration fee

One Way Fees
A one way fee rental fee of $250 is charged for rentals between the North and South Islands and vice versa, where pick up is between 1 October to 31 March unless All Inclusive insurance taken out

Diesel Tax
The Diesel Tax Recovery Fee will be calculated and collected on return of the vehicle based on the kilometres travelled during the hire.The fee per 100km is as follows: 2 Berth: NZ$5.50

*Apollo Welcome Pack
Each vehicle is supplied with a complimentary Apollo Pack for the first night. The pack contains, matches, mini shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing liquid, sponge, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and sugar satchels.

First Aid Kits
A First Aid kit is supplied in every vehicle. If the seal is broken or the Kit is not returned the Kit becomes the property of the renter and a $50 fee is charged when the vehicle is returned.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE
A NZ$50 surcharge will apply to all rentals picking up and/or dropping off on National public holidays:

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is 5 days with the following exceptions:

DRIVERS LICENSES
All drivers must be at least 21 years old (Max 75) and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation.

BOOKING AMENDMENTS WITH FLEX RATES
A NZ$25 fee will apply to amend a flex booking. If a change to a flex booking is made then the booking will be calculated by using either the original flex rate or the flex rate that is valid at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher. There are no exceptions to this rule. The following situations are classified as booking alterations: Change of date for vehicle pick-up or drop-off, Change of location (depot) for vehicle pick-up or drop-off, Change of vehicle category, Customer name change. If you decide to extend your rental duration (changing the drop-off date) by 2 days the same flex rate is used that applied on the day when you made your original booking. If you extend by 3 days or more, the booking change rule applies as outlined above. If an amendment is made to the rental dates within 14 days of collection, no refund will be made if the length of hire is shortened (that is; the rental will be charged at the number of days originally booked). A relocation fee may apply if the collection or return location is amended within 14 days of vehicle pick up or if notification occurs during the hire. Apollo will not accept any cancellations of Standard Rate Bookings that are then re-booked using Flex Rates and vice versa
