Ara is a small and friendly company with budget priced older campervans. Ara campers are an economical alternative to the more expensive motorhomes and campervans available to rent in New Zealand. Ara Rentals are committed to delivering quality budget campervan hire every time.
THE MOTORHOME
Ara2 S/T is a spacious 2 berth with shower and flush toilet and supplied with bedding, towels and kitchen utensils. This vehicle is 'Certified Self Contained' and perfect for travelling NZ freedom camping. This 2001-2006 Ford Transit 2.4 turbo diesel campervan has the option of either 2 single beds or 1 double bed. Gas heating, 3 burner gas hobb, microwave and fridge. Hot/cold pressurised, 240v/12v power/240v heat exchange.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
Compulsory daily Insurance of NZ$20 per day leaves you still to pay a Bond/Excess of NZ$2500 (imprint). (Standard rate does not include windscreen damage, tyre damage, tyre punctures and water damage) Options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. Options are payable at the depot
Insurance Liability Reduction options:
Option 1 - for NZ$30 per day Liability Bond is reduced to NZ$1000 (Imprint only)
Option 2 - for NZ$36 per day Liability Bond is reduced to NZ$500 (Imprint only)
Vehicle must be driven on SEALED ROADS only.
DIESEL LEVY/ROAD USER CHARGES
NZ$8 per 100kms if applicable
ONE WAY HIRES
Relocation/One Way Fees may apply from Christchurch to Auckland, or Auckland to Christchurch. (Dependent on the cost to relocate the vehicle from depot in Christchurch).
MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is 10 days for Christchurch to Christchurch. Minimum hire period is 35 days for Christchurch to Auckland, or Auckland to Christchurch. A One Way Fee may apply.
DRIVERS LICENSES
All drivers must be at least 21 years old (Max 75) and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with an English translation by an accredited translator.
CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellations received more than 30 days prior to pickup a $250.00 administration fee applies. If bookings are cancelled within 30 days of pickup, 50% of total reservation cost is required (minimum of $250).
