TRANSFERS
For customers arriving and departing from Auckland, Christchurch or Nelson, a complimentary transfer is available on the day of pick-up or drop-off of the vehicle from the Airport or your accomodation within a 10km radius of the Airport. This service is available between our business hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm. mon – fri , 9am-4pm sat and CLOSED Sundays and Chrismas Day (or outside of these times by prior mutual arrangement) The hirer must advise us of pick up and drop off times one week before collection to be guaranteed the transfer at a certain time.

NZ$50 After hours fee applies: After Hours on Mon to Sat: 6:30 am to 8:30 am, 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm
This fee covers the cost of after hours pick ups and drop offs. Please note that despite the fee attached, these after hours pick ups and drop offs will be accepted or declined at the discretion of the vehicle supplier. After hours times will be reconfirmed with you or an adjustment to these times discussed with you during the booking process

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
Minimum rental period is 7 days.
Minimum hire period of 21 days for hires picking up or dropping off between 15 December and 10 January. Subject to change at discretion of Discover.

DRIVER LICENCES
All drivers must be over 21 years old and hold a current valid N.Z. Drivers license or approved international driver's license. The licence must be a full driver’s licence and held for at least two years. Licences must be presented at the time of hire. No special licence is required, and the licence from the country of origin with English translation by an accredited translator.

CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellations 15 days or more prior to pick up date will be refunded 50% of the deposit paid with a minimum of NZ$250 retained.
No refunds are given for cancellations made less than 15 days prior to pick-up date.
No refunds for any early return of vehicle.
Allowances will be made for immediate bereavement on proof of loss. There are no refunds for early returns or cancellations after commencement of hire.

AMENDMENTS TO HIRE
If the hirer wishes to change the return destination of their vehicle after commencement of the hire period booking, they must first notify us and request permission. This may be denied due to future booking requirements. Any approved return destination changes may incur a one way recovery charge for the vehicle.
