GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR TRAVEL FROM BETWEEN 1st APRIL 2022

IMPORTANT NOTE
IF A CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD IS NOT PRESENTED UPON PICKUP THE CLIENT WILL BE DENIED RENTAL OF THE MOTORHOME AND FULL CANCELLATION FEES WILL BE APPLIED. For security reasons, Apollo only accept credit card or debit card for rental charges paid on vehicle pick-up or drop off. Cash payments will not be accepted at rental branches. The bond on the vehicle is only payable at pick-up by credit card or debit credit card. Credit card fees ARE NOT applied to Bond payments. The bond cannot be paid with a pre-paid credit card.

All booking requests of 4 or more vehicles for the same travel period is considered a group booking and must be approved by the Apollo Reservation Team. Payment terms and Cancellation Fees will be advised at the time of the group booking request.

ANIMALS
Both service animals and pet dogs are allowed to travel in Apollo vehicles with written permission from Apollo at the time of booking. There is a NZ$200 pet service fee, this excludes service animals.

CLEANING FEE
A NZ$200 Cleaning fee applies only when the RV is returned without the interior cleaned and without an empty Toilette cassette and gray water tank

Additional Insurance/Cover available
Windscreen and Tyre Protection Plus Extended Roadside Assistance (WAP): NZ$7 per day and capped at 25 days. This includes 1 windscreen, 2 tyres and the Extended Roadside Assistance.

Additional Cover available at the depot
Extended Roadside Assistance: NZ$4 per day and capped at 25 days. This includes opening RV on lock out, lost key replacement up to $120, emergency towing up to 25km, jump start, flat tyre change using spare located int the RV, fuel delivery up to 20L.

FIRST GAS FILL CHARGE
A gas bottle is necessary for cooking in the vehicle. A full gas bottle may be pre-purchased and can be returned empty to Apollo at the completion of the hire. Fee for 2 Berth vehicles: NZ$25. Fee for 4 & 6 Berth ST: NZ$35. (included in the Value Pack).

Road user Charge Recovery Fee
The cost of using New Zealand’s roads is recovered from road users via levies in the price of petrol (direct at point of sale), or through road user charges (RUC) on vehicles that use diesel.

ONE WAY FEE
A 7 day minimum hire period and One Way Fee of $150 is charged for rentals from the North Island to the South Island, or South Island to the North Island.

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum rental for all vehicles is five days. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during peak periods. Between 18th December and the 2nd of January, a minimum rental period of 10 days applies. Lunar New Year, which is between 22nd of January and 10th February 2022, a minimum rental period of 10 days applies.

DRIVERS LICENSES
The minimum age to drive the vehicle is 21 years. All drivers must hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation, by an accredited translator. The Driver Licence must have been held for a minimum of two years. The original driver's licence must be shown at time of pick up when the driver is present. Drivers must have a full drivers licence that has been held for at least two years and the licence must be valid for the entire booking duration.

CANCELLATION FEES

NEW bookings made from 17 January 2021 – for travel until 30 September 2021
If cancelled 31+ days prior to pick-up. $250
If cancelled 30 to 14 days prior to pick-up - $250
If cancelled 13 to 1 day prior to pick-up – 50% of Total Rental
If cancelled on day of pick-up or no show – 100% of Rental including any applicable fees e.g. One Way
There is no refund for late pick-up or early return

All Travel from 1 October 2021 to March 31 2023 (2021-2022 Rate Release terms apply)
If cancelled 61+ days prior to pick-up. $250
If cancelled 60 to 22 days prior to pick-up – 10% of Total Rental (minimum $250)
If cancelled 21 to 7 days prior to pick-up – 20% of Total Rental (minimum $250)o If cancelled less than 7 days prior to pick-up – 50% of Total Rental (minimum $250)
If cancelled on day of pick-up or no show – 100% of Rental including (minimum $250)
There is no refund for late pick-up or early return

If you amend your hire to a later date and subsequently cancel then the cancellation fee reverts back to your original hire amount from the previous hire date date and a 100% is charged by the Motorhome company. If we rebook you with new dates then the hire amount is never less than the original hire regardless of days booked and any future cancellation reverts back to original hire cost as above.and and this is There is no refund for early return of vehicle. Refunds by credit card can take up to 14 working days depending on the hirer's financial institution.

BOOKING AMENDMENTS WITH FLEX RATES
A NZ$25 fee will apply to amend a flex booking. Any changes made to a flex booking will be calculated by using the higher of one of two rates, either the original Flex Rate or the Flex Rate current at the time of booking alteration.

The following are considered as a booking alteration:
Change of name
Change to pick up or drop off dates
Change of pick up or drop off branch location
Change of RV category
Change or rate scheme including special rates (If the rate scheme or RV category is changed, this is considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the original booking).

If rental dates are amended within 14 days of the vehicle pick up, no refund will be made if the hire is shortened.
If the pick up or drop off rental location is amended within 14 days of vehicle pick up, a relocation fee may apply.
