GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR TRAVEL BETWEEN 1st APRIL 2020 TO 31st MARCH 2021

PLEASE NOTE: DEPOT IS CLOSED JUNE, JULY AND AUGUST

DAILY RATE INCLUDES:
Extra Driver
GPS, outside tables and chairs included with each hire
A full gas bottle (this needs to be returned full)
NZ GST (Goods & Services Tax) 15%
Quality Linen
Crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils
An instruction manual for the operation of the campervan
Maps, campground guides and local bylaws
Pickup and drop-off points at Auckland and Christchurch
Roadside/breakdown assistance, available 24 x 7 x 365 during your hire.

INSURANCE
STANDARD RATE: A security bond of $5,000 is taken on pickup as an imprint of a credit card only and is not processed unless any damage or loss of property is caused by the hirer, or the terms of hire have not been adhered to.

Insurance Cover does not include personal property, tyre damage or punctures. Bond reduction option as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess. (Bond reduction option is payable at the depot).

Bond Reduction option 1 - NZ$29 per day reduces security bond/liability excess to NZ$950

All inclusive - NZ$49 per day reduces the insurance excess to $0. Road user charge (RUC tax) included.

ROAD USER CHARGES (RUC)
Road User Charges (RUC) is not included in the daily hire rate. (It is included in the the All Inclusive Insurance). The Road User Charges will be calculated at the end of your hire from your final odometer reading. The RUC fee is $7.80 per 100km for the 2-4 berth vehicles and $8.20 per 100km for the 6 berth (720) vehicle.

ONE WAY HIRES
One way fee may apply

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
Minimum hire period is 14 calendar days. Short hires are available but extra costs may be incurred.

Pickup / Dropoff
Sunrise offer free pickup from Auckland airport and airport accommodation. Christchurch airport and airport accommodation/central city accommodation. On pickup of your campervan you will be met and familiarised with your campervan.
There is a relocation service available and any extra costs will be quoted at the time of booking.
Pickup/Drop-off between: 9am - 4pm. Last shuttle to airport at 3pm.

DRIVERS LICENSES
All drivers must be at least 25 years old and hold a full and current New Zealand driver's licence, or an International Driving Licence, or a licence from the country of origin with English translation by an accredited translator. A driver's licence must be sighted at the time of pickup of all persons who wish to drive the campervan.

CANCELLATION FEES
40 days and over prior to pick up NZ$250 is retained
20 - 39 days prior to pick up 25% of total reservation cost (Or NZ$250 whichever is greater)
10 - 19 days prior to pick up 50% of total reservation cost.
1 - 9 days prior to pick up 75% of total reservation cost.
No Show or hire cancelled at time of pickup 100% of total reservation cost.

If for reasons beyond control of Sunrise, and the reserved vehicle cannot be supplied on pickup, a substitute will be offered. Should a substitute not be available our liability is limited to a full refund of monies received by Sunrise Holidays Campervan Hire.
