GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR TRAVEL BETWEEN 1st FEBRUARY 2020 TO 31 MARCH 2021

INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE (minimum level of insurance and already included in quoted rate):
Standard rate: Edgy - leaves you still to pay a Bond/excess of NZ$5,000 (Credit Card Imprint only) or option as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess.

Reduced Bond Options are payable at the depot:
Insurance Option 1: Cruiser - NZ$38 per day reduces bond/excess to NZ$2,500 (Credit Card imprint only)
Insurance Option 2: Carefree - NZ$45 per day reduces bond to NZ$350 (Credit Card imprint only)

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security bond of $350 is required to cover traffic infringements and to ensure the camper is returned in a reasonably tidy condition. All equipment and bedding must be accounted for, the waste tanks emptied and gas bottle refilled.
An extra $250 will be added to the traffic infringement charge to cover handling costs.

EXTRA DRIVER FEE
NZ$50 fee applies for extra drivers

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
Minimum rental period is 10 days except for hires over Christmas/New Year when the minimum is 18 days. Christchurch to other South Island locations is a minimum of 18 days, subject to change and dependent to availability.

LOCATION SURCHARGE
As Adventure Jupiter only has a depot in Christchurch there will be a Location Surcharge of NZ$600 for Queenstown.
If Queenstown is both the pickup and dropoff location, then the Location Surcharge will be NZ$1200.

ONE-WAY RENTALS
A One Way fee may apply for travel from Christchurch to Queenstown, or any other location advised by Adventure Jupiter. This is in addition to the Location Surcharge. This will be advised when the vehicle is offered.

DRIVER LICENCES
A full resident country drivers licence, held for a least one year, is to be presented at the time of rental. If the driver's licence is not in English format, an international drivers licence is also required. Drivers must be 21 years of age or over.

CANCELLATION FEES
If cancelled more than 31 days prior to pick-up 20% of Gross Rental with a minimum of NZ$250.
If cancelled 30 to 11 days prior to pick-up 50% of Gross Rental.
If cancelled between 10 days and the day of pick-up or No-show 100% of Gross Rental.
If vehicle is returned early for any reason what so ever NO refund is available for the unused portion of the hire.
