Booking Terms & Conditions

New Zealand Motorhomes is New Zealand's Premier Online Booking Service and has been established since 2001 with many thousands of satisfied clients. This is a free service with no Booking Fees. *We absorb our 3.1% (which may vary) Credit Card/Debit Card Merchant Fee on any Deposits to confirm your campervan rental, unlike most companies. Full/remaining payments attract this Fee. New Zealand Motorhomes is an Authorized Agent for all the listed companies. We have located the best Motorhome Rentals at the best rates for you.

Campervan booking details should include Credit Card details to initiate a booking or you may request to make payment via Cheque or Bank transfer in the comments box on the secure Reservations page. Reservations are only fully confirmed once we receive a deposit. Your Credit Card/Debit Card details are secure through our high encryption booking form. New Zealand Motorhomes will debit your Credit Card between 15% and 20% (depending on Model reserved) of the total daily campervan hire rate as a deposit to confirm a booking . All charges and payment Terms are clearly presented on part one of the camper van booking process. A Reservation Summary will be automatically emailed to you once you have completed your Reservation online.

The rates displayed are the lowest camper van rental rates available and we offer a price guarantee. Please conduct any Amendments or Cancellations through us, and not the motorhome company itself, as this can cause confusion and conflict

Online Reservations

In the event that the motorhome of your choice is unavailable at the time of submitting your Reservation New Zealand Motorhomes will endeavor to offer you an alternative motorhome of similar size, price and quality that is available on your travel dates. We will only book an alternative campervan model with your authority and your Credit Card will NOT be debited without your consent.  Please allow a matter of hours to ensure we have the time to find and offer you a variety of rental camper van options for your consideration. All deposits are non refundable at the discretion of NZ Motorhomes. The deposit required and final payment Terms are cleary detailed on Part one of the Booking page and on your Printable Reservation Summary.

All Credit Card and Debit Card payments beyond the initial deposit debited by New Zealand Motorhomes will attract a Merchant Fee of 2.29% Any payments directly made to our suppliers before or during your hire period may attract their Merchant fees that will vary, (but not limited) between 2% and 5%

In the event you wish to book a campervan within 30 days of pick-up, New Zealand Motorhomes will either:

  1. Debit your Credit Card between 15% and 20% (depending on Model reserved) of the total daily hire rate as a Deposit to confirm a booking. Remaining daily hire total payable at Depot at start of hire.
  2. Debit your Credit Card for the Total daily campervan hire amount.
Note: Campervan hire amendments within 40 days of start of hire:
A hire amendment is usually only applicable if the amendement is by 1 or 2 days either before campervan hire starts or hire ends. Hire amendements are never guaranteed and only applied if accepted by the Company we have booked you with. If an amendment is accepted an *administration fee of NZ$25 applies with exceptions listed below. Although determined by the Company we have booked you with we can usually apply the original daily rates published at time of reservation with the exception of motorhome models that are hired on a "Flex Rate basis" where upon the highest rate at the time of amendment will apply. (Rates are updated weekly). However, if dates or location's are completely changed within 40 days then the hire may be treated as a Cancellation and normal Cancellation charges will apply and you will need to re book.

Bond or Insurance Excess:

If you are required to pay a Bond,(Insurance excesss) it will be payable by Credit Card or Debit Card (if Debit Card it will be processed as a Credit transaction and Merchant fees will apply) *Cash and cheques will not be accepted. *Pacific Horizon will accept cash for Bond payment paid back (if no claims) after 28 days


All deposits have a minimum charge of NZ$250 and each particular Cancellation policy is detailed on each Campervan page under "General Hire Information" and on your email Confirmation. Where a refund is due from a company we shall endeavour to assist in obtaining this refund to on your behalf.

No refunds for Cancellations made after the travel or travel date has commenced. If the vehicle is returned early for any reason whatsoever after travel has commenced then no refund is available.


While New  will make it's best reasonable efforts to ensure that the content, prices and material on this web site are accurate and precise at the time of Reservation New-Zealand assumes no responsibility to do so and shall not be liable for any errors or omissions in particular the published Terms and Conditions.  We reserve the right to amend Booking Terms and Conditions at any time and, although unlikely, they may differ from time of Reservation to time of travel. New-Zealand shall not be liable for any loss occasioned thereby however caused. In particular we assume no responsibility for any incorrect campervan hire quotes and reserve the right to offer a correct quote without penalty or prejudice

New endeavors to only work with reputable rental companies but does not itself operate the transportation and therefore will not accept responsibility for the condition of any of the transportation. The information supplied does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement and New Zealand-Motorhomes will not be liable for any damage or loss as a result of the use of this information.

Any complaints or discrepancies are between the Company hiring the Transportation and the client renting it. assumes no responsibility in these matters. Baggage and personal effects are the passenger's own risk/responsibility and bookings are only accepted on acceptance of these conditions. Clients are advised to take out Travel Insurance
