Wellington to Nelson to Wellington

From North Island to the South Island experience art and culture between the two islands.

Passing through Wellington, Nelson, Picton, for 3 days

Day: 1 - Wellington

The capital of New Zealand, Wellington will deliver you entertainment and shopping galore!

Spend a morning exploring the compact city by foot or treat yourself to one of the many guided walks.

If the weather is not accommodating, take yourself to Te Papa, New Zealands national museum, which is recognised as a world leader in interactive and visitor-focused museum experiences.

With a brand new motor home park right on the water front Wellington is a city waiting to be explored!

Day: 2 - Wellington to Nelson

Ensure you book your place on one of the car ferries that frequently move between the two islands.

A place on one of the earlier ferries will set you up for a good start to the day as you watch the sun rise out to sea.  As you enter the Marlborough Sounds it is worthwhile to make it out onto the deck of the ferry as the scenery here is picture perfect.

Once in Nelson indulge in seafood, wine and stunning beaches. Many bars and clubs offer live music and entertainment throughout summer so check out the local iSite for information.

Day: 3 - Nelson to Wellington

Take your time as you make your way back to Picton and take the scenic route via the Queen Charlotte Drive.

Stop off and have lunch at one of the many bays or even go for a swim!

Arrive in Picton with plenty of time to board the ferry, if you are too early you can always grab an ice cream and take a stroll around the Picton Harbour.
