GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR TRAVEL FROM APRIL 2024

Pacific Horizon offer a transfer service to and from City accommodations as an optional extra from $100 each way per transfer. (Up to 6 pax) You can book this service under extra items when booking (Paid transfers)

ONCE NOTIFIED PLEASE ALLOW AMPLE TIME FOR THE SHUTTLE BUS TO COLLECT YOU. SOME UNAVOIDABLE DELAYS MAY OCCUR DURING BUSY PERIODS.

INSURANCE OPTIONS
STANDARD RATE (minimum level of insurance and already included in quoted rate):
Standard rate does cover Windscreen and Tyre Damage and overhead and under body damage as does all these options. This option leaves you still to pay a vehicle security Bond/excess of NZ$5,000 per incident (except above) in event of any accident damage to either the Pacific Horizon motorhome or to 3rd party property. Excludes personal belongings. (Credit Card imprint only and held for 28 days) or options as below can be taken to reduce bond/excess.

EXCESS REDUCTION LEVEL 1 (Not included in quoted rate)
NZ$29 per day reduces the vehicle security bond/excess up to NZ$2,000 for the first incident (Credit Card imprint) Max Insurance charge NZ$1,450

EXCESS REDUCTION LEVEL 2(Not included in quoted rate)
NZ$39 per day reduces the vehicle security bond/excess to Nil for the first incident (Credit Card imprint) Max Insurance charge NZ$1,950

ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE (Not included in quoted rate)
NZ$59 per day reduces the vehicle security bond/excess to Nil for the first incident (Credit Card imprint) Max Insurance charge NZ$2,950
Plus the following additional is supplied at no extra charge when requested: Picnic table & Chairs - Child/Booster seats - Snow Chains as required - GPS Unit - Courtesy Client transfers at start and end of hires from City/Airport & Ferry Terminals (normally $100 each way) Transfers, however are free from the Airport and Ferry Terminals but not City locations

CASH BOND
Pacific Horizon will accept cash for Bond payment paid back (if no claims) after 28 days

ONE WAY HIRES
All Hires under 21 days attract a One-way rentals fee of attract a NZ$300

MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD
The minimum hire period is 7 days in all periods with the exception of hires travelling through 16 December - 10 January when the minimum hire period is 14 days (Subject to change at the discretion of Pacific Horizons).

LONG-HIRE DISCOUNTS
Long hire discounts are available and site will quote automatically
5% off 21 - 28 days
8% off 29 - 39 days
10% off 40 plus days

DRIVER LICENSES
A valid full (not provisional) national driver's licence (held for a minimum of one year) is essential. Non-English national drivers' licences must be presented in conjunction with an official translation, or valid international driver's licence must be shown. Minimum age of all drivers is 21 years.

CANCELLATION FEES
If cancelled 26 days or more prior to vehicle pick up either 15% of the gross hire amount or the deposit is retained (minimum of NZ$350).
If cancelled 25 - 8 days prior to vehicle pick up 25% of gross rental (or the deposit whichever is the greater).
If cancelled 7 - 1 day prior to vehicle pick up 50% of the gross rental.
No show or cancelled on day of vehicle pick up 100% of gross rental.
If a vehicle is returned early for any reason whatsoever, no refund is available.

PACIFIC HORIZON COVID 19 CANCELLATION POLICY
If the New Zealand borders close due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and travel is disrupted Pacific Horizon will hold any monies taken as a credit for 12 months from the original date of hire. Pacific Horizon are entitled to apply a NZ$250 Cancellation/administration fee

AMENDMENT OF HIRES
Any changes made to a confirmed booking that may shorten the hire will not be entitled to a refund. Any changes are subject to authorization from Pacific Horizon.
Changes to dates and/or locations may attract a relocation fee.
