The Koru Star 4 Freedom Campervan (2019 or later model) has been designed for freedom camping off the grid for up to four adults. In line with previous productions in the freedom range, Wendekreisen have added a powerful 280 watt MPPT controlled solar system. Two quality deep cycle batteries provide a solid 2.88 kilowatt hours or 240 amp hours of in-house battery storage. The combination of good solar and sufficient power storage allows you to camp independently for long periods at a time. The hot water is produced by an instantaneous gas system which will deliver hot water on demand as needed. The 2 X rear double beds can be left made up whilst the vehicle still provides comfortable seating for up to 4 adults in the front.
Model: VW Crafter with a 130KW twin turbo engine that offers a range of safety features such as side wind compensation, autonomous emergency braking, collision warning assist and active 360° sensor side protect.

Models 2011 - 2013 Toyota Hiace with a powerful 2.7 litre engine, is a joy to drive and with good fuel economy is another plus for the budget camper. This camper is seat-belted and able to sleep 2 adults and 1 child or very small adult (max weight 50-55kgs), and is the ideal budget camper for your New Zealand getaway. Has 3 seat belts in drivers cab but the centre seat has lap belt only, and it is a very snug fit with 3 adults sitting in the front. This vehicle can not be hired for 3 big sized adults
For hires from September 2019 there will be solar fitted and twin usb ports
